An empty lot inside a new sub-division presented an opportunity to create a space for the community to enjoy. This community led project was a collaboration between the locals and Watercare, to see the vacant land turned into a small play space.
Our team developed the play space, which includes a learn to ride cycle path, a space for a game of Four Square and ‘nature play’ (stepping logs and balance beams). Seats and a stage area were created to make it accessible to all users from the community, and planting was included to give the urban space a nice look and feel.
